How it works
The cat does exactly one thing
No notifications, no screen covering. It finds drift content and closes it.

It walks your screen
The cat wanders across the desktop. It stays low so it never covers the window you are working in.

It spots drift content
It recognises pre-defined targets like Shorts, Reels, and TikTok. Detection finishes inside your Mac and nothing leaves the machine.

It closes with a paw
It walks over and closes the window with its front paw. No confirmation dialog, no trip to a settings screen.

What you need
There is no Workcat file yet. The same cat is available in drifty today. Progress goes in the log.
- Today
- Install the drifty Mac app, then turn the desktop cat on in settings. A standalone Workcat download is not ready yet.
- Requirements
- macOS. Downloaded from the web rather than the App Store.
- Permission
- Accessibility access, so the cat can recognise windows and close them. The app walks you through it on first launch.
- Setup
- When Workcat ships, there is no login, account, or model download before the cat shows up. Today the path is a drifty install first.
